Don't Do It!

I have two of these BD61000 machines. From what I can tell, they use the same technology as the vintage Craftsman belt and disc sanders I own. Unfortunately where Craftsman uses cast iron, BuckTool uses thin guage metal plate which bends quite easy. Somehow my drive roller shaft got bent. The only force pulling on that shaft is a rubber drive belt, so how cheaply made must a shaft be to bend under the pressure. My bigger problem is that BuckTool's customer service department is in China, and although I paid for the part two weeks ago, I have yet to receive so much as a tracking number. I can't get anyone to respond to my emails. CS is China based, and they couldn't care less. So now I'm stuck with a $400 machine I can't use, or sell, and need to reverse the charge on my credit card for the part BuckTool never sent me. What a horrible experience!!

Great design with the mounted wheels on stand. Provides for easy mobility in my shop areas. The 1.5 HP motor is a GREAT Feature also.
