Great product, weird vacuum holes.

just got my 4 x 36 belt sander and I’ve been using it for everything wood metal Micarta and it doesn’t incredible job I love it. I just wish the vacuum ports worked better. Through different sizes than the one for the belt you can only stick the vacuum tube in like a quarter inch which is kind of ridiculous. I just sawed the things inside the vacuum port and now I can put the vacuum tube about an inch inch and a quarter. They send you weird adapters that don’t work. But the sander works perfectly.

It Works But...

It's a completely different size and doesn't fit the hole properly. He's a machinist so he made it fit. Even the pin out is shaped different. Our tool is only two years old and matched the numbers exactly. If you're going to make parts so drastically different, supply a new housing as well.
Oh, and $15 for shipping?! Really? I would have packaged and shipped that for $7 or under (i do the shipping and receiving here). $23 for an $8 part is stupid.

In my shop I use two belt sanders to avoid having to continually change belts far a different grit. Over the years I have used many brands but none compare with Buck; this is a durable, hardworking machine. The simple but sturdy design of the direct drive motor along with quality bearings make this sander the best in its price range.

Sharpening system

I just started using the grinder and got the Wolverine- One-way sharpening jig set up. Looks good, works well, I like the extra features- brackets, magnifier, light. A great upgrade to my sharpening- especially lathe tools- gouges, etc!

Very nice tool

Before I order this belt and disc sander, I checked out, benchtop sanders at Harbor freight and Menards. The quality was just really cheap. This Buck tool is much better quality. It’s a good tool. Great value.
Ordering was easy it shipped fast and arrived with no issues. Well protected.

Works as expected with modification

Since I have a 2 1/2 inch flexible hose for my dust collection, I designed and 3D printed an adapter to mate the dust collection hose to the Y fitting cap. With that done, it collects the dust very well.

Worth every penny!

So far, the drill press has met every one of my expectations! The variable speed control is excellent. The Lazer cross hair is surprisingly accurate to get you lined up on your work. Despite not having the conventional press stop that other brands include, the Bucktool design suits my needs better. The graduated scale and stop, integrated with the press handle is far more convenient. Only time will tell how durable the tool is, but already it's been solid in clearanceing some cylinder heads to accommodate larger pushrods and a shaft mount rocker system.
