Im very happy with this sander. As a hobbyist I knew I wanted to add a sander to my shop but wanted good value for the money. There was a prime day special on the 8 inch sander. I had the Bucktool on my list of options so it was perfect timing. The sander arrived safely and well packaged. Set up was easy and straightforward. Dust collection is pretty good and I’m sure I’ll get a lot of use out of this sander.

Muy buena lijadora, mucha potencia, silenciosa y facil de armar.Yo estoy en Argentina y llegó muy bien embalada y protegida. Es más grande de lo que pensaba, es para dejarla fija en una mesa.Le conecté un sistema de aspirado y la extracción de polvo funciona muy bien Funciona a 120 volts así que compré un transformador a 220 v de 750 w y funciona sin problemas. La uso para lijar madera, muy recomendable.

Excellent quality tool. Belt changes are a breeze, literally just loosen 2 screws for the dust collector, and pull the side bar to release the belt. The dust collector is the best you’ll get at this price range, but not perfect. I applied some duct tape around the edges to collect what doesn’t make it inside. Noise is rather loud but on par with similar tools. Recommend hearing protection, eye protection and shop vacuum for particles (or respirator).

4x36belt sander

In my shop I use two belt sanders to avoid having to continually change belts far a different grit. Over the years I have used many brands but none compare with Buck; this is a durable, hardworking machine. The simple but sturdy design of the direct drive motor along with quality bearings make this sander the best in its price range.

Great Machine for the Price!!

I had a Harbor Freight unit and it would stall with just the slightest pressure against the belt. I have other Bucktool products so decided to order this. Direct drive is great, there is plenty of power and it does what I need it to do without stalling out. It is heavy and stays in place without permanent mounting. Another great purchase from Bucktool.

Let’s start with Weight; the grinder does not weigh a ton, which isn’t very pleasant when you have to move it around your shop. Next cause of it construction you need to be careful when you secure it to a grinding stand or a bench. The base is made of aluminum so you cannot tighten it as much as you can a cast-iron base. However, because of the balance of this particular machine, you don’t need to do that. I said it on my standard workbench and started it to make sure that it ran. It didn’t move an inch even on a dust covered bench. It was easy to assemble and change out the grinding wheels for the diamond wheels that I have for my lathe tools. The grinder size is just right for my shop and what I’m doing with my chisels. The grinder starts nice and slow and seem to have plenty of power once it gets up to speed. The durability will come in a lighter day due to the fact that I haven’t done anything other than set it up overall I would give this a good solid five star rating for what I’ve basically checked. the question I always ask what I buy another one from this company so far the answer to that is yes.

Great product, weird vacuum holes.

just got my 4 x 36 belt sander and I’ve been using it for everything wood metal Micarta and it doesn’t incredible job I love it. I just wish the vacuum ports worked better. Through different sizes than the one for the belt you can only stick the vacuum tube in like a quarter inch which is kind of ridiculous. I just sawed the things inside the vacuum port and now I can put the vacuum tube about an inch inch and a quarter. They send you weird adapters that don’t work. But the sander works perfectly.

Quality, design , speed control , fonctionality , easy to use , good manual instructions.

I purchased this wet sharpener last year since I own a small shop so chisels or anything else has to be maintained to cut right.Used for my chisels, hand planner, kitchen knife 🔪 it is a pleasure to see how everything I sharp come back as if I went to get it brand new from the store .Don't forget to buy the extra jig for the bigger knife because they only give you one little one but it's only good for the small knife.I will definitely recommend this product pay a bit more to get a good sharpener it will make your life easier 👍
