I had the on/off switch fail on a BD4801 Belt Sander. The tool isn't that old, but has performed well otherwise, so I accepted the failed switch as reasonable. But, when looking for the switch on the company's website, I found that I had to order switch BD4802-13 that is supposed to be for a model BD4802, since the switch shown on the website for a model BD4801 didn't look anything like the switch on my model BD4801. So fine, I ordered what I thought was the right switch, even though it is not the switch offered by the company for my model. I received it, it was the correct switch and worked properly. But there is more. BD4802-13 is listed for $8.00, plus a shipping charge of $15.00, for a total of $23.00. Seemed like a steep price for an on/off switch, but I needed it so what choice did I have. But then, after the purchase, I find out that my bank account had a separate charge of an additional $0.69 for a Hong Kong foreign tax fee. When I ordered this switch, there was nothing said about additional charges. So the extra charge, although modest in it's amount, seems inconsiderate, if not dishonest. And for the $23.00 price tag of an on/off switch, you would think the company would just include the $.69 charge. So, as I indicated in the review title, things aren't what you would expect. If you are ordering a replacement part, be very careful about ordering the right part, and don't be surprised by extra hidden charges.
