“Works great and is nicely made. Fit and finish is very good. The included white aluminum oxide grinding wheels work well on high speed steel wood lathe tools as well as metal lathe HSS tool bits. almost vibration free especially if you dress the wheels properly using the included diamond dresser. I use this with a Wolverine grinding fixture which really takes it up a notch.”

“Because I own and use the Bucktool 12” drill press, I decided to buy their bench grinder to fix my woodworking hand tool blades. My first test was a chisel that was in really bad shape. Paired with Veritas tool rest. I was successful in regrinding a 25 degree bevel in just a few mins. Thus far I’m really satisfied with purchase. Grinder is quiet, smooth and easy to setup. Because this is my first grinder ever, I have no knowledge on how more expensive models performs compared to this one. What I can confidently say is, this grinder has been a pleasure to use. I look forward to regrind more tools and learn how to sharpen my drill bits as well.”

“This little grinder is awesome for shaping and sharpening lathe tools! I’m sure it will get tons of other use in my woodturning/knifemaking shop. I love it being low speed for sharpening(rather than 3000 something rpm with my other). I do wish it came with tilting work rests rather than the stationary ones but for this price point I can’t complain. I am going to swap the 60 grit stone wheel to the higher grit cbn wheel that the same company sells, and build a Wolverine style sharpening jig for it and never look back!”

Bucktool 8" slow speed grinder

This is a heavy duty grinder. Out of the box heavy, well balanced very smooth motor and bearings. Bought this to sharpen turning and wood chisels.
Only negative I wish the tool rests were much longer. But I love it
Will definitely be buying more Buck tools

Great slow speed grinder

The grinder worked as expected out of the box. Of particular note are the extra wide fine grit wheel (1.5 inches) and the lack of vibration. The wheels were installed and seemingly pre-balanced.

This is amazing! It works great and my husband loves it.

It’s so cute!

Let’s start with Weight; the grinder does not weigh a ton, which isn’t very pleasant when you have to move it around your shop. Next cause of it construction you need to be careful when you secure it to a grinding stand or a bench. The base is made of aluminum so you cannot tighten it as much as you can a cast-iron base. However, because of the balance of this particular machine, you don’t need to do that. I said it on my standard workbench and started it to make sure that it ran. It didn’t move an inch even on a dust covered bench. It was easy to assemble and change out the grinding wheels for the diamond wheels that I have for my lathe tools. The grinder size is just right for my shop and what I’m doing with my chisels. The grinder starts nice and slow and seem to have plenty of power once it gets up to speed. The durability will come in a lighter day due to the fact that I haven’t done anything other than set it up overall I would give this a good solid five star rating for what I’ve basically checked. the question I always ask what I buy another one from this company so far the answer to that is yes.

Great product, weird vacuum holes.

just got my 4 x 36 belt sander and I’ve been using it for everything wood metal Micarta and it doesn’t incredible job I love it. I just wish the vacuum ports worked better. Through different sizes than the one for the belt you can only stick the vacuum tube in like a quarter inch which is kind of ridiculous. I just sawed the things inside the vacuum port and now I can put the vacuum tube about an inch inch and a quarter. They send you weird adapters that don’t work. But the sander works perfectly.
